Aidar Salimgaraev was born on 3 August 1971 in the Muslyumovo village of the Muslyumovsky District of then Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1994, he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Kazan State University named after V.I. Ulianov-Lenin as a journalist.
He started his working career as a handyman at the ‘Muslyumovoagropromenergo’
From 1994 to 1997 he worked as a reporter, an editor and the Chief Editor of the main republic news agency ‘Tatarstan’; from 1997 to 1998 - as a senior editor of the Teleradiocompany in Nizhnekamsk
From 1998 to 2000, Aidar Salimgaraev occupied the position of an official of the Administration of the Nizhnekamsk Joint Counsil of the People's Deputies. During the period of 2000 - 2003 he was a director of the communal institution called ‘Nizhnekamsk Teleradiocompany’ to the Administration of the Niznekamsky district and the city of Nizhnekamsk
From 2003 to 2006, he was a director of mass media agency for Republic of Tatarstan - ‘Tatmedia’.
From 2006 to 2008, he was in office of the Deputy Director-General of the Republican mass media agency ‘Tatmedia’; from 2008 to 2009 the first Deputy Director-General of ‘Tatmedia’; from 2009 to 2012 -the Director General of ‘Tatmedia’.
From 2012 to 2014, Aidar Salimgaraev held the post of the Head of the Office of the Spiritual Council of Muslims.
From 2014 to 2015, he worked as the Deputy Director-General of the ‘Prostomoloko’ management company.
From 2015 to 2018, he was in the office of the Deputy Head of Department and the head of the division for social projects of the Department for domestic matters of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Since February, 2018 he holds the position of the Head of the Department for Data Analysis to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan
Married, has a daughter and two sons.
