On March 14, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the delegation of the International Association of Islamic Business headed by its President Marat Kabaev.
Tatarstan President noted that today, much work on relationship building with Muslim countries is being done. Minnikhanov reminded that on behalf of Russian President, he has been heading the "Russia-Islamic World" Strategic Vision Group since 2014, which includes over 50 experts from 32 countries. The group is carrying out significant work on popularizing the country in the Islamic world, establishing cooperation on a wide range of issues.
According to Tatarstan President, another efficient venue is the International economic summit “Russia - the Islamic world: KazanSummit”, which will be held for the tenth time this year. “I think the idea of this summit is in line with your ideology. In addition to the economic block, we would like to speak about some principles of halal lifestyle. These are tourism, pharmacy, perfumery, healthcare, education and other areas,” Tatarstan President said.
Kabaev briefed about the activities of the International Association of Islamic Business. He said that the Association opens its branches throughout the world, such as Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan.
Kabaev also announced the intention of opening the representation of the organization in Kazan. Minnikhanov supported the proposal.
