Rustam Minnikhanov signs a plan to implement the cooperation agreement between Tatarstan and the Nizhny Novgorod region

9 July 2018, Monday

On July 9, during the INNOPROM-2018 International Industrial Trade Fair, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Acting Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin signed an Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Nizhny Novgorod region on trade and economic, scientific, technical and socio-cultural cooperation for 2018-2020.

After signing the document, Minnikhanov noted that the Nizhny Novgorod region is a region that has great potential. As for the inter-regional trade, the scope of deliveries from the Nizhny Novgorod region to the republic is greater than that from Tatarstan to Nizhny Novgorod.

"The Republic of Tatarstan and the Nizhny Novgorod region are mutually complementary regions," Tatarstan President emphasized. “Today we have discussed all issues, including those related to the management system and work with municipalities. Now a "road map" has been signed, which sets forth our further activities. I believe that it is very important to establish close relations at the interregional level. We have every opportunity to continue developing trade and economic ties with the Nizhny Novgorod region.”

According to Nikitin, the signing of this document will significantly increase the volume of trade between the regions.
