Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates field hockey team “Dinamo-Kazan” on victory in Russian championship

On October 10, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met players and coaching staff of field hockey team “Dinamo-Kazan” that won Russian championship among men’s teams. The honouring of the sportsmen was held at the Kazan Kremlin.

Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Chief federal inspector in the Republic of Tatarstan Renat Timerzyanov, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of the republic Vladimir Leonov, and regional Minister of Internal Affairs Artem Khokhorin took part in the event.

“Your victories and success are the example for other sportsmen. Field hockey is becoming more popular. Hundreds of children play this sport following such a striking example,” Tatarstan President said.   

Rustam Minnikhanov handed over awards to representatives of the team. The captain of the team Timur Nikolayev was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan.

Commendations of Tatarstan President were handed in to chief coach Araik Margaryan, coach Timur Shatsky, forward Anton Kornilov, midfielder Nikolay Yankun, and goal-keeper Marat Gafarov.

Also, the commendation of Tatarstan President and certificate for 5 mln roubles were handed to the club for the contribution to achievement of high results at Russian field hockey championship of the Super league 2017.
