Contest for grants of Tatarstan President for education at Graduate School of Urbanism of the National Research University Higher School of Economics announced
On July 13, the contest for grants of Tatarstan President for education at Graduate School of Urbanism of the National Research University Higher School of Economics was announced in the republic.
Five students will receive grants for education on the International MA programme “City and technologies: prototyping future cities”. Applications will be received on July 10-24, 2017. The academic head of the programme is the former chief architect of Barcelona, head of the laboratory of prototyping future cities Shukhov Lab Vicente Guallart.
Each winner will receive the grant of 924 thousand roubles for two-year study on MA programme and accommodation in the hostel.
“City and technologies: prototyping future cities” is the first programme in Russia in the sphere of production of smart technologies for urban environment presented by Higher School of Economics. Students will study design and management according to the principle “learning by doing”.
They will be doing researches and developing projects that will lay the foundation for practical recommendations for solving urgent problems of the republic. The themes for researches will be provided by the Tatarstan Government. Upon finishing their study grant holders will have to go back to the republic and work on the projects of urban development for two years.
