Council under the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for interaction with international financial organizations


The Council under the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for interaction with international financial organizations (hereinafter referred to as the Council) was established following the Decree of the Tatarstan President N УП-696 of October 14, 2010 (amended March 5, 2011, September 6, 2012) and is an advisory body under the President of the Republic of Tatarstan established to attract financial and economic resources of international financial organizations for enabling the implementation of investment projects and programs aimed at social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan and organizing collaboration between Tatarstan governmental agencies and international financial organizations.

The main objectives of the Council are as follows:

  • to define criteria and priorities necessary for taking decisions on projects involving attraction of financial and economic resources of international financial organizations;
  • to define forms and directions of technical assistance by international financial organizations in projects aimed at social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan;
  • to develop a strategy of interaction of Tatarstan governmental agencies and international financial organizations;
  • to generalize positive experience of interaction with international financial organizations in joint projects;
  • to continue developing business-friendly environment in order to improve Tatarstan’s investment attractiveness and encourage the republic’s innovative economy.

Chairman of the Council is Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan. Deputy Chairman is Murad Gadylshin, Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Budget, Tax and Finance Committee; the Secretary of the Council is Radik Gimatdinov, Aide to the Tatarstan President.
